The Illusion of Work

Software promised to save time. Then it created meetings about the software.

// truth 01

Work grew a shadow.

Every tool added a login, a sync, a status update. The average team now spends more time describing work than doing it.

// truth 02

Busy is not output.

A full calendar, a fast Slack, a spreadsheet that never sleeps, none of it is a product shipped, a customer served, a decision made.

// truth 03

If it can be documented, it can be automated.

Most "knowledge work" is a workflow wearing a lanyard. Follow-ups, checks, transfers, summaries. An agent does these without pretending it's strategy.

// truth 04

Humans are for judgment.

The work that needs context, taste, accountability, that stays yours. The rest was never really yours to begin with.

// truth 05

The goal is fewer moving humans.

Not fewer jobs, fewer humans used as moving parts. A kaamchor operation is one where people show up for the work only they can do.

Stop hiring humans for robot work.
